If you want to absolutely stuff your face with tons of festive awesomeness check out the Belfast Christmas Market in Northern Ireland!! Located right in the historical Town Hall square, it’s regularly touted as one of the best Christmas markets outside of Germany, even by some German friends haha.
There’s tons of savory snacks from all over the world, an endless array of sugar stacked desserts (And mounds of Nutella if ya nasty), lots of great shops for holiday gifts and two beer halls where you can relax and maximize your holiday cheer with a stein of beer, spicy spirits, mulled wines or just a Bailey’s Hot Chocolate!!
For a quick feel of all that there is to enjoy at the Belfast Christmas Market let us take you on a tour!! Check out our video below.
Was a bit rainy when we visited though but that’s just an extra reason to have an extra drink or two inside the beer halls while waiting for the skies to dry up!!
There’s even a Tim Hortons just across the street from the market?? Making it all the more perfect. There’s no Tim Hortons in the Republic of Ireland where we live, but as Belfast is technically part of the U.K, there are a handful of them spattered across Northern Ireland. Which is terribly exciting news for any self respecting Canadian expat. Even if you don’t like coffee (Like Chris), it’s still a piece of home!!
If you’re in town, visit the Belfast Christmas markets next year guys it’s the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit!
Merry Christmas everybody!!
